Lightweight woven, cool and breezy shirts like this spell Spring. This shirt is not too roomy, but not too tailored either. The ruffle is perfect and the turned up sleeves add a nice utilitarian touch. Perfect over skinnies or cigarette pants as is, or over a pencil skirt or bootcuts with a belt. What can I say. I’m a woven top fan so I’m all over the tunic shirt look.

After raving about the brand and style in normal blue stone wash, here they are in white. The higher rises are comfortable and girdling. The denim fabric is thick and not too transparent. The fit is premium and sleek. Pricey, but worth the investment. My Spring and Summer wardrobe would not function without premium white jeans.

An adorable machine washable cotton A-line dress that’s available in both regular sizes and petites, AND it’s on sale. That quite a win! You can’t see the back tie in the photo but it actually makes the dress. It’s very effective if you wrap the tie around the back first and then around the front again so that you end up with a front tie dress. I actually preferred this dress in black, but the turquoise is lovely too.

Michael Kors is doing great things this season. It’s the elbow length draping sleeves that sold this dress style to me. It’s just beautiful. Swap out the self fabric belt and add just about any colour shoe – flat or heeled. The same dress is also available at Nordstrom in grey and is currently on sale.  Machine washable!

Tahari quality and fit is usually fab, so it goes without saying that this sheath looks amazing on the body. The fabric is absolutely fabulous and the animal print is uniquely abstract. And the neckline isn’t that low either. I was completely wowed when one of my curvy clients tried on this dress. Gorgeous with red accessories. Very chic and perfect dressed up or down.

So fab in either colour! It’s refreshing to see a boyfriend jacket that isn’t black or charcoal grey. The linen blend is especially Spring-like and the length is great for taller gals too.  I loved this item on my curvy and bustier clients. Just so arty and hip. This jacket has been one of my favourite Spring items at Nordstrom so far this season. Clean, crisp and chic.

These are great  for the price. The rise is pretty high, especially in the back, and the denim is substantial. These jeans might not last or fit like premium denim, but you’ll probably wear a longer top, tunic or dress with white skinnies anyway so no worries. Remember that you can take in the waist if it gapes at the back.

It’s fun to wear cobalt blue with white bottoms. So fresh! This top is flattering and comfortable. It doesn’t cling because it’s made of a substantial rayon/spandex. Its gentle cowl neck is bust friendly so don’t worry about that part of it at all. Scrunch the sleeves and add neck beads.

This might be an animal print, but it looks more like a swirly geometric print in real life. It’s the same flattering style as the blue, but for petites, so it’s shorter and a little narrower. Perfect with white bottoms and super comfy. It’s easy to launder and travel with too.

I’ve had all kinds of body types in these pants so they’re fairly flop proof, especially if you are prepared to consider alterations for waist adjustment. The fabric is thick and a little slippery, which is just what you want for a classic dress pants look. Love the boot cut leg opening and clean, flat front sans side entry pockets. Available in four colours and up to a size 16. Petites are available too.
