Macy’s always has a great Labor Day sale. Most of the items on sale are back to school and end-of -eason Summer merchandise. But there’s also fun Fall stuff amidst the heaps of warm weather clothing.
I’ve seen most of these items in person. I enjoyed the spicy palette, but be sure to browse through all the colour options.
- Nine West Printed One-Button Jacket: A Mod shrunken blazer with diagonal pocket detailing is right on trend. Fit is slightly boxy.
- Grace Elements Perforated Asymmetrical Sweater: Lightweight and good on an inverted triangle body type with a shorter neck and larger bust. Fun fringe treatment.
- Alfani Faux-Suede Draped Cardigan, Only at Macy's: Washable faux suede that's soft and durable. Excellent on an apple shaped body type with a larger bust. VERY comfy. If you don't like the constricting feeling of a jacket - try this. Runs big.
- Lauren Ralph Lauren Petite Flutter-Sleeve Floral-Print Dress: Tailored, girly, and the print is quite gorgeous. The flutter sleeves look fresh and pretty. Great on an hourglass and pear shaped body type. Fab on petites.
- INC International Concepts Colorblocked Faux-Leather Moto Jacket, Only at Macy's: Crisp, modern and structured. Looks as good worn open. Might run a size large.
- Calvin Klein Water-Resistant Hooded Trench Coat: A fun raincoat in water-resistant fabric. Good length. Sporty and stylish. Very casual.
- Anne Klein Draped Dot-Print Dress: A fab dress for tall curvy gals. Love the centre front ruffle. No need to cover up for the office.
- DKNY Hooded Trench Raincoat: A super little trench coat with detachable hood. Casually dressy. Available in an assortment of Fall colours.
- Bar III Long-Sleeve Layered-Look Chevron Sweater: The chevron stripe is slimming. The layers are fashionable. Delicate and romantic.
- KUT from the Kloth Colored Skinny Jeans: Toffee jeans are unusual, and these are quite good on a curvy figure. The fabric is NOT crisp though. A little deliberately weathered for an extra casual touch.
- Bar III Long-Sleeve Peplum Sweater, Only at Macy's: A fitted peplum sweater that's great over a pencil skirt or cropped skinnies. Tailored through the torso so fab on curvy gals with a defined waist. Might run a size small. Fun Fall colour options.
- Steve Madden Mondrian Colorblock Ruana: A jewel-toned poncho is a dramatic statement. The toggle fastening is a nice touch. The high-low hemline provides a bit of structure. Gorgeous over sheath dresses too.
