Well, K, I have completed your challenge! I must say that you are correct….I haven’t shown or pinned many summer outfits…..perhaps that’s because in North Dakota we only have one dominant season—winter! Just joking!
But in reality, we only have a few months that require warm weather dressing, so it’s not a top priority in my wardrobe. We do spend quite a bit of time at our lake cabin, so I really wear old, comfy clothes there as I am really hard on them.
So, I scoured my clothes and came up with these four outfits:
#1 is for when I take my three youngest to their DreamCatcher Baseball League, a league designed for children/teens with disabilities. I love watching them play and networking with the other parents in the stands. Each week one child with a disability is paired with a “buddy” that volunteers from community organizations and businesses. Because of this, the parents get the chance to just be parents, like parent of typical kids, and not caretakers. It’s so much fun to relax and cheer on our kiddos!

My outfit details include: Old Navy Safari Vest, J. Crew Factory Denim Tunic, J. Crew Factory crop pants, and my daughter’s gladiators from Target; Coach Purse.
#2 is for when I teach “Disability Studies” at our local university. It’s a super casual atmosphere, but I tend to dress up a bit more whenever I get the chance.

Outfit details include: Old Navy Jacket; Target Striped Linen Tank; Leopard scarf from Amazon; Vince D’Orsay flats; Coach Purse
#3 is for a get-together with friends. My husband and I attend a small group Bible study with seven other couples every otherTuesday evening. Sometimes we go out for refreshments, so this is what I would wear.

Outfit details include: EF Cardigan; BR Gingham top; J Crew Factory pearls; Old Navy denim skirt; Loft Belt; Cole Haan Leopard flats; Madewell Tote
#4 is my date-night outfit. Because we have five children, date nights are a priority for us. It’s a time to catch-up; talk about pressing issues; and just keep a pulse on our relationship. My hubby is the “funnest” guy I know….so we have a great time together.

#5 is a bonus shot of what makes me NDMom!
Thank you to K. for challenging me and making me think of actually using some of the outfits I’ve pinned. I know I haven’t been as active on the forum as of late, so I really appreciate any and all feedback.
Initially, I told April I was nervous to do this…..but it was easier and more fun than I thought. Thanks for reading and looking…..if you made it thus far!
Blessings, Paula
