Now for the outfit creation part!
I took the quiz as instructed and my style persona came up as "Tailoring Noir." (Picture 1). I was a bit puzzled by this as the dress pictured is very nightlife-oriented. I then realized that I answered the quiz in an aspirational, fantasy lifestyle way. Yes I wish I were in Paris viewing the latest art opening. Yes I can see myself in the VIP lounge at Coachella. And yes I want to look like Sofia Coppolla!
So here is the outfit I came up with, which I made my own. By wearing harem pants, it feels more like me and suited to my lifestyle. The fringe bag is an obvious connection to the fringe dress. But I'm afraid that's just about the only literal connection. I have no nightclub dresses at all, and haven't for 20 years! I'm 56 and my clubbing days are well over. However I do think my outfit has that Boho-luxe feeling that Kate is known for, so I was happy with the results.
1 -- Tailoring Luxe inspiration
2 -- UO harem pants, H&M pastel silky tank, Winter Kate silk jacket, Tylie Malibu fringe clutch, Shoe Mint peep toe shoes. Everything here is at least 2 years old, save for the harem pants. The jacket is over 3 years old and had become an orphan but it looks like it may get a new lease on life as I like the way this cropped jacket works with my ever-growing collection of black harem pants.
Now for the part where I change the rules of the challenge. I cheated and took the quiz again, answering the questions in line with my real not fantasy life. My style persona came up as "Pajama Dressing." This is the homebody, not the nightclubber. The floaty kimono styles that are part of this collection reminded me of my Zara jacket from last year.

4/5 -- Zara kimono jacket, Zara oversized tee, Madewell slim boyfriend jeans, Nine West sandals. Everything here is from last year.
This was a lot of fun Jewell! Thank you for coming up with such a great challenge. And I am excited to try the tuxedo jacket from the Kate Moss Collection for Topshop.
