The past week has been a mix of old faithfuls, new darlings and thrift finds. Maybe you think you've seen all this before, and I don't blame you if you do - there's nothing really new here, but a few new combinations and some new insight.

#1: Saturday dinner date with old friends
Debut for my new silk tee. I combined it with my skinny dress pants, black blazer and patent leather peep toe wedges. I was not too overdressed, and I felt very comfortable. An outfit I also would wear to work. I discovered that DH doesn't like semi tucks, so I left the top untucked.

#2: Monday at work, teaching and a meeting
The new tuxedo shirt is already a favorite, and I like it untucked with slouchy pants. I added the blazer for structure, and the new Cons for contrast and bookending. We've had cold winds lately, so I had to pop on a scarf and the trench when outside. Yes, it's that cold. Insight: I really like surrendering the waistline.

#3: Tuesday at work, teaching and office
Another outfit based on the new thrifted skirt. I paired it with the chambray shirt, taupe leather moto and my brown booties. I also belted it with a snakeskin belt. This is pretty casual, but almost anything goes at my workplace, and I feel fine as long as I'm not looking too much like my students

#4: Thursday: Meeting, office hours
Thanks to you I finally gathered enough courage to wear my infamous silk tunic. I paired it with white jeans, brown leather belt and nude patent loafers. For topper, I chose the green cropped blazer since it's spring. Again I needed a wind breaker, so the trench and light green scarf came in handy. Insight: I can mould an odd piece to fit better with my style.

#5: Wednesday and Friday: Working at home
#5-1 Wednesday: This outfit earned me a somewhat surprising compliment from DH. The outfit felt kind of coincidental, not planned at all, but I know he likes fitted clothes and my hair in a pony tail or bun, so maybe it wasn't so strange after all. I wore the olive slouchy skinnies, navy cashmere sweater and old suede ballerinas. May 1st is a public holiday here, so we all stayed at home. I had to mark papers, though.
#5-2 Friday: This is today's outfit, inspired by the black/blue/white formula and TGIF: Black merino v-neck, navy cropped relaxed chinos, black belt, blue scarf and white Cons.

Thanks for reading and looking. All and any comments and suggestions are highly appreciated. Have a great weekend, everybody
