Yep, I learned last week I am going to be the first one down the aisle, escorted by my son, the stepdad of the groom. I'm glad I kept shopping and shopping and . . . well, you know. At this point the prediction is for 80% chance of thunderstorms, so who knows what will happen. The forecast changes every day.

#1 is a try on of the dress at home--before I had it hemmed I think. I have a new bra to wear with it to hike them up a bit more.

#2 & 3 are of dress hanging above the shoes etc. Too tired today to try and get the whole thing on me and besides, I don't think I've even combed my hair.

First is dress alone, then dress with Tahari jacket in case it's chilly or A/C is miserable.

#4 is close up of shoes bag and jewelry. More below.

#5 is another close up.

Dress is JH Collectables bought from Nordstrom online. Shoes are Paul Green. I can try to find them for you later. They are higher than I have worn for several years, but Paul Green is so comfortable. And I'll be hanging onto my son. I still had to get the dressed shortened a bit so that even with taller shoes I won't trim over the hem and end up on the wet grass.

Bag is bought on Last Call sale--Laura Merkin in a deep sort of burgundy eggplant.

I will pull out all the stops with my collection of DY bracelets, a DY ring, and new earrings from Jared's. Not too expensive for what they are. No necklace needed.

And OPI Hawaiian Orchid nail polish. We're supposed to have a group mani-pedi when we get there. I had to go to several stores to find the right color and at last found it at the new Ulta store in our area. It would also look great with deep purple polish, but for this wedding I want it nicely blended.

Black Tahari jacket bought on final Last Call sale. I love it and have worn it before.

DH is going to officiate at the wedding, so he will already be standing up front. I'll post photos of the big day later, I am sure. Now I've got to go get his tuxedo shirts--we pulled them out of the closet a couple of days ago and found out the previous laundering had been terrible. (Probably years ago.) I rushed them over yesterday and they promised to have them pristine today. I've want to have a back up for him.
