WIW...copycat torontogirl black shirt project.

A week ago torontogirl posted a couple of pics to illustrate her 'black shirt project'. I was smitten with the black top/white bottoms combination, and couldn't wait to try it myself. I'm having so much fun with the white jeans!

#1 is what I wore to work for casual Friday. #2 is for a walk after dinner. The jean jacket is dark wash, so doesn't contrast as nicely at tg's paler denim, but I do like the almost nautical snap of the metal buttons.

High happiness factor. Collected a few compliments at work. Managed to keep the white jeans clean without too much effort. (I did wear a big apron whilst cooking dinner!)

Graphic fun! I'm very fond of the big blocks of maximum high contrast (I like to wear my black tops this way, too). The colorful strippy bag is great in #1, and the jacket/sandals addition in #2 are perfect for casualizing a step further.

This is great! I love how just changing a couple of items like your shoes and adding the jacket make two great outfits! I especially like #2!

I have been very attracted to white and black combos lately too. I plan on ordering some white jeans from Madewell in a few days and will wear them with a new black top from AT. Can't wait to get the jeans!

Of the two options, I prefer the one with the black flats. It seems to bookend a heavy dose of black in your top part better.
