WIW: YLF influenced Bailey 44 dress

Just about everything in this outfit is YLF inspired in some way: moto over dress, mid-calf boots, B44 dress... It's part of my thought process!

Is this dress too bodycon now? Are the proportions okay? I hacked off the bottom tier a couple of months ago. I'm not comfortable in this dress on its own due to belly issues, but I'd like to get there someday.

You're insane, what belly issues?

For more constructive feedback. I like the proportions with the way you styled it. My belief is bodycon won't disappear from mainstream because there is always a taste for it but you have worn it in a way that makes me applaud and not cringe so I like it for you.

I think the proportions are spot on, this looks terrific on you! Love the moto, love the boots esp with the black tights. And shortening the dress was a great idea. Which moto is this, it's the perfect length on you.

BTW, you've just given me some styling ideas for my own B44 dress, which up until now has been reserved for dressier "events". Thanks!

Love it! and like Kalli mentioned, body con will always be in. Maybe not always in the form of a tiered dress but I think the dress is good to go this year

I think this looks fantastic Una - not too body con at all. And the moto over top disguises any belly issues you may have (although I doubt there are any!) and UWP's the dress quite nicely. Love that grape colour on you BTW.

Well, I love everything about it just the way it is. I don't think it is too body-con at all, I actually quite like the fit. But bare in mind that I prefer clothes more fitted anyway.

I like this on you. The bailey 44 dress is actually more of a "simple" look for you even with the boots and moto, but I like the strong graphic integrity and deep color on you. IMO it doesn't look body con in the photos in an inappropriate way and I like it as a work look.

I think this looks fantastic on you! I love the deep color on you and the graphic stripes. I do not think it is too body con at all, especially the way you have styled it with the moto jacket at boots. Great look on you!

Best outfit I've seen on you to date -mind you, I haven't seen ALL of your outfits.

You know? You are definitely up to something with the chop-off.
I actually just sold mine, on ebay, after tracking it down across the country and keeping it unworn, tags attached, for over a year. I was not able to make the length work for me. It always felt off kilter, once I had to put a coat or outerlayer over, which in my climate, is about 9 out of 12 months a year.
I ended up keeping the shorter, multicolor version. We'll see if this one does not end up on ebay too.

I see no tummy and you look great in it!

This looks fantastic on you Una! What belly? Geesh! I ordered an YLF inspired item too recently. It's a black coated moto style jacket. I couldn't go for leather as it's too hot to wear it most of the year here.

OMG, THANK YOU ALL! I feel so much better with YLF behind me. This is a bit bodycon for me, but the jacket falls right where it hides my, er, problem area, so I'm not fighting the battle of the bulge and feel quite comfy.

This moto is actuall pre-YLF - it's one of those F21 finds that holds up. It's a jersey moto jacket quite similar to the Ella Moss, which is why I knew the EM would work for me if it fit.

Zap, you must look HOT in this dress! Glad you got a price adjustment - now you need an attitude adjustment so you will wear it and stun us all!
