I never did get around to showing off my new oxfords, so I figured these will have to do.

Outfit 1/photo #1 --- features new 'denim'-coloured cardigan, which is a bit long in the sleeve but I actually like that. Trying to find the courage to put thumb holes into the l-o-n-g ribbed cuffs. My Raynaud's-plagued palms will prefer that next year, I think, though the baby's given me a respite this year.

Outfit 2/photo #2 --- Dressed for comfort, rather than figure flattery, on a chilly day. Long midi skirt and 'nude' tights, silk kaftan top and poncho sweater. I typically push the sweater sleeves higher, but I was *cold* that day. The collared kaftan inside the sweater neckline was very welcome --- and I usually avoid shirt collars!

Excuse the hangdog expression. This was the morning after our 4th night working till midnight. It was a struggle to stop snuggling under the sheets and get me and my bump out the door on a Sunday

And yeah, I'll get around to altering the skirt to a more flattering length someday---after the belly goes down. Still want to keep it a midi, though. Maybe belting will improve the overall silhouette

Photo #3 -- close-up of the shoes for colour. They're SO comfy-cozy! Very glad of this purchase.

PS: The '2 out of 12' refers to the oxfords and cardigan as two of my 12 for 12 purchases for this year. I went shopping for the baby and came home with an end-of-season windfall for myself! Which is the subject of a separate thread.
