WIW with BR Cream Jeans Again

Hi,

Here are some recent outfits. Many are with the BR cream jeans, since these were the newest addition to my wardrobe and I am still trying to figure out which combinations I like best. My earlier cream jeans outfits are here.

#1-Cream with Poncho
This poncho has been a workhorse this season and matches the jeans perfectly.

#2-Cream with Black
The black turtleneck is ribbed but it's too dark in the photo to see it. I rotated the picture and it looks ok on my computer, but it keeps uploading sideways.

#3-Cream with Print
The cream in this sweater does not match the jeans but in the photo it looks like it does.

#4-Coral and Black
Pairing this coral hoodie with black for a change.

#5-Hoodie with Blazer
This has been one of my favorite outfit formula's but I wish the hoodie didn't have the zipper. I think it would look better without a zipper.

#6-Poncho and Jeans
Another poncho, paired with bootcuts on a rare dry day.

#7-White and Scarf
I haven't been wearing scarves much so far this year. I wore them so much last year I guess they needed a season off.

Those cream skinnies are so lovely! No wonder you've been wearing them so much. I like the sweaters you've topped them with, especially the blue & cream one. I'd love to see them paired with a lighter top too, as a white out. But maybe you already did that & I just missed it when I didn't have time to visit the forum.

I don't think the zipper looks bad on your hoodie & jacket combo: just gives another vertical line to keep the outfit and you looking nice and long! I love the colour combination in that outfit too, and you know I'm a huge fan of that blazer.

I'm really enjoying your outfits Lisa. That gray poncho is particularly super and you always seem to have just the right shoe or boot. Would the hoodie in 5 work with the blazer in 6 or is it too bulky?

Great looks! I am particularly drawn to 1 and 5. Love #2 as is and could also see it working well with a cream layer in place of the black turtleneck.

I like all outfits but #1 is my favorite of the lot! Those tan booties look great with the cream jeans and the poncho makes the outfit really stellar.
The next favorite is #5: I have not adopted this formula to myself yet but I quite like your interpretation (and zipper does not bother me at all).

You are really finding your style! My favorite of this group is #5. It seems especially cohesive and the use of the hoodie under the blazer looks natural here.

Pil-Thanks! I have tried the brown hoodie in 5 with the black blazer in 2 but it was too bulky. The black blazer is slimmer in fit than the tweed one. I also tried the coral hoodie in 4 with both blazers, but it is also too bulky and it has a longer hem in the back so it stuck out a little too much with a blazer. But great ideas! I've already put a slimmer hoodie with no zipper on my shopping list.

Carambola-Thanks! Great idea to pair the black blazer and cream jeans with a lighter top. I have a cream sweater on my shopping list for next year. (I already see sweaters vanishing from the stores to make way for spring items.)

Sveta-Thanks! #1 was also my favorite. The hoodie and blazer combination is so fun, I added a slimmer fit hoodie to my shopping list so I can layer with more of my blazers. This hoodie only seems to work with this blazer.

Joy-Thanks! Ponchos and layering hoodies with blazers have been my favorite combinations so far this winter season.

I am smiling because (predictably) my favourite is #1. (Sveta and I have similar taste, you see..). You look great in the cream jeans, and aren't they super comfortable? Love them.

I always love your WIW's! Your style is similar to my own, which might be part of it (ya think?).

Love the poncho in #1, and the color match is excellent. Plus the booties being a different shade of creaminess gives it depth.

I also surprise myself by liking #5, as it's a look I couldn't get used to at first (hoodie with jacket). Now I am enjoying the coziness as well as the masculine vibe. You channel a unisex flavor usually reserved for kids. I bet you're a fun gal!

LAR101-Thanks! I try to pay close attention to shoes and how they will work with my outfits before I buy to prevent shoe orphans.

Suz-Thanks! And I agree, the cream jeans are really comfy. I'm trying to figure out why these became workhorses so fast (soft, solid color?) while my grey metallic skinnies I have struggled with all season so far. They are also a non blue bottom but for some reason just don't have the same happiness factor.

JulieJohn-Thanks! The hoodie and blazer look is one of my favorite's right now. And I am a big fan of unisex looks, probably because I have long hair and a pear shape, so I figure that's enough "woman" elements for an outfit.

Angie-Thanks! A K2K rating, neat! I'm wearing outfit #1 again today. This poncho has definitely been my workhorse piece this season so far. And I have a number of hoodies because that's the bulk of the choices for horseback riding in stores (at least for western) so it's nice to have a way to wear them outside of the trails.

I am enjoying your cream jeans outfit (and taking notes, since I also have these jeans). Love them with the poncho and the black and white sweater. You other poncho outfit looks great, too, and I am glad you decided to wear that black and white scarf - it looks good with the white sweater.

Kellygirl-Yes, we are indeed style twins, and it is fun. I would happily steal your closet. I always struggle with light bottoms because they typically show every lump and bump. But these cream one's are a dream.
