Denise, I think i need a white or cream clutch or tote, too. Still looking for the right one. I also love Vildy's idea to add my cranberry coat to this! But since it was purely "at home" no bag or coat were necessary. As others have said, our weather is too dirty now to wear something like this outside. Alas. I did wear a version of this the next night tucked into boots that I removed at the destination (a friend's home.)
Joy - you are so right! Metallic booties are on my list for next year if they are still current feeling.
Beth Ann, I didn't get dye transfer from the Munros, but I only wore this outfit for about 4 or 5 hours and stayed indoors.
Diane, the only software I use is what comes with iPhoto -- I just crop the pictures and if necessary, do a little fiddling with exposure and/or colour values. It still looks like a photo lit with incandescent light so colours are probably a bit warmer toned than IRL, no matter what I do -- but it's the best I can do. And in fact, my outdoor pictures have problems of their own due to my location. So...hopefully this is good enough.
Thank you for all the kind words, everyone. This was such a fun outfit to wear, but I agree with those who worry that it is a bit dramatic. It really does feel as if you're saying "look at me" the first few times you wear this. So having a practice run at home was probably a good idea.
