This week is basically a remixing exercise with many of the items and silhouettes from my previous post. Unintentionally, it turned out to be very uniform color-wise too, but that's probably a good reflection of the style direction I want to take.

Weather wise, we had very hot week, too hot when you think that only two weeks ago we were still in long sleeves and jacket. So, it was all about keeping cool and comfortable, while I'm cycling and running all sorts of errands in the impossible heat.

  1. Worn to the bank, so I wanted to look not too casual. Extra photo at the end of the bracelet I wear with these espadrilles, because the design reminds me of the the way I tie the ribbons around the legs.
  2. It was crazy hot on this day, so the dress which I was on the fence about (I wish it was longer) was suddenly the only thing appropriate for the weather. But I wore the white denim jacket as cover inside, as we shopped for some things for the house in the very A/C-ed spaces.
  3. Went to see the orthopaedist about my knee on another hot day. Outcome - good. Outfit - while unpacking the summer clothes from the storage, I rediscovered this old tee which I love to bits because of the wide stripes and would probably rethink my decision not to buy any more tees if I came across anything similar. Until then, this one will beeee with me for quite some time.
  4. There is something about white, black and gold that says 'summer' to me. Maybe because gold is the 'color' of sun? Worn to run some errands. Finally painted my toenails to bookend my hair.
  5. Playground mum in white.

Joyful extras: Since this is a food blog too, after all, let me share with you some of this week's gastronomic joys thanks to the green fruits I stocked up on at the local supermaket. I love avocados, in case it's not obvious form the photos, and am now reinventing the ways to eat them. Top to bottom, left to right: i) Salad Traffic Lights (tomatoes, sweetcorn, avocados, feta cheese) , ii) Deconstructed Avocado, Tomato and Cottage Cheese Salad, iii) Avocados, Chickpeas, Celery, Chillies, Tomatos, and Egg Salad, iv) Breakfast Green Smoothie (avocado, banana, whole kiwi, celery, cucumber, linseed and teff flakes).

Thanks for stopping buy. Your honest opinions, comments and suggestions always matter. Some new ideas how to eat avocados too - if you feel like sharing them

Have a great weekend everyone.
