Recently I've been on a tunic-sewing and -wearing kick, it seems. Here are a few outfits from the last week or so.

1 (worn for a day off): white bootcut jeans (Lucky, Lolita); brown and white wavy-stripe cowl-neck tunic (made by me); brown belt with brass buckle (B-Low the Belt); pewter suede high-top sneakers (Paul Green).

2 (worn for day off): white jeans as above; green, teal, ivory, and charcoal marbled print sheer sweater peasant top (made by me); black sling-back Mary Janes (Think! Aida). This top used to be a mid-thigh tunic--I finally cut it off, after thinking about doing it for maybe a year! I love my "new" top!

3 (worn for a day off): taupe angled-hem tunic (made by me, from same pattern as tunics in outfit 4, which you've seen before); taupe cashmere shredded-knit shrug (made by me); light gray skinny ankle jeans (NYDJ, Clarissa); taupe nubuck booties (Paul Green). I swear the taupes looked better together in real life than they do in the photo. At least I thought so!

4 (worn for a day teaching sewing class): charcoal skinny pants (Halogen); gray, black, and white layered angle-hem tunics (made by me); gray and black print mesh knit shrug (made by me); gray moto boots (Frye, Lynn). Hair courtesy of bike helmet--before heading to work, I test-rode some bicycles.

5-6 (worn to work--and for bike commute): black skirted leggings (Eileen Fisher); stone angled-hem tunic (made by me--yup, same pattern as above!); gray, black, and olive pieced-knit long vest (Dolce Vita); gray moto boots (Frye, Lynn); olive leather moto jacket (AllSaints, Hawks); taupe shoulder bag (Aunts & Uncles). Flat hair courtesy of helmet again--I rode my new bike to work! The leather moto jacket saw a few outings this week--perfect weather for it, as Angie pointed out today on the blog.

7-8 (worn for a day off and to teach sewing class): green, teal, ivory, and charcoal peasant top again, as above, with dark wash boyfriend jeans (Kut from the Kloth, Catherine) and gray shimmer oxfords (Naot, Kedma). Changed into charcoal bootcut ponte knit pants (NYDJ) and black suede booties (Paul Green, Barbara) for work. Again, some helmet head from bike errand before I headed to work.

I'm excited about the new bike, but I can see there are going to be some less-than-stellar-hair days in my future.

Thanks for looking! I welcome your thoughts and suggestions.
