Here's my idea. My daughter has these booklets called "Fashion Angels", which contain cartoony dress-me doll outlines of young girls, on which you can draw or stencil clothes. We used to do this together, and I would usually draw outfits I actually have. I used to wonder what it would look like if I made proper dress-me dolls, since I don't remotely resemble the cartoon girls!

So here is the first of a set of illustrations showing my favourite, most often-repeated outfits or formulas. My daughter's verdict was, "Hey, that actually looks like you, except it's creepy, because it's got no face". My doll has my own proportions, based on the body type sketch I did last week. The pigeon-toed pose it a little awkward, but I did it to show both the front and side of the footwear.

I've included a Fashion Angel drawing from last year, and my outfit from today, which is the same except for the boots. Today I wore my new swordfish boots, which are my current faves. I wear a version of that outfit a lot, sometimes with a black shirt, sometimes white, sometimes blue pinstripe. I vary the boots too, but I always wear short boots with it.

The illustrations are all going to be a little scribbly, because this sort of thing can easily get really time-consuming.

Hopefully after a few of these, you guys can help me find my style descriptor!
