WIW: To work at my kitchen table

Here is what I am wearing today to work from home and go get my hair trimmed this afternoon. I really would like to post more WIW to help me see what works for me and what just needs to be purged. The stripey sweater is a bit of an orphan. I love stripes but the color is a bit bright for me plus it snags extremely easily. I paired it with black cotton skinny moto pants and a drapey sweatshirt like moto jacket. The color of the jacket is somewhere between grey and navy. Plus birks, I live in birks in the summer. They are just too easy to slip on and they give my high arches much needed support.

Maybe I will get better at selfies in the process too. I chopped my head off in one photo and the other two photos the color is bad from being in a dark hall.

I really like that jacket, looks very comfy. In fact, the whole outfit looks very put together for a day at home. The color of the shirt doesn't look too bright but it's hard to tell colors over computer screens. However, you've toned it down nicely with the black.

And I love those Birks. I live in my Birks in the summer, too, but I'm an Arizona gal. What style are yours and do the toe thingies bother you? I have a pair of Gizehs that I never wear because of the toe thingy.

I've reverted to mostly working at my kitchen table, too, and it's so hard to get motivated to "dress". If I didn't have to drop off the kids at school, I'd still be in my pajamas, lol. You're inspiring me to give some more thought to my daily "office" wear.

Marin, I faved this, too. In fact, I was just sitting here thinking about my "work from home" wardrobe, and may start another thread. Your outfit looks great - comfy as well as pulled together and stylish. I really like how rachylou put it: au courant, but not done.

Cute look - like your birkies. I don't think that top is too bright at all - it looks great on you especially with the darker colours.

Wow! thank you ladies, you are all too kind. I normally am much less put together for working at home but I have a hair appointment this afternoon. Usually, I am in jeans and hoody or gear from my morning run. Maybe that is the true reason why I don't post WIW's :).

Of course my feet got cold and we generally do not wear shoes inside the house. So what I am really wearing.

Kristen - the birks are Mayari. They are my second pair. The toe ring doesn't bother me. It is more towards the top of my toe versus being in the crease like a thong. I tried the Gizeh's a few years ago and didn't like how they felt or looked on my bony feet.

I like this a lot - the jeans fit perfectly and are just the right crop which looks good with the sandals, and the jacket is cool. If you are looking for suggestions on how to style the sweater, I think it would also look nice with softer colors - maybe a lighter wash jean or colored pant, like an olive or tan.
