WIW this week and a question about the KK cowlneck dress

It was retro week here at my house. Sorry for the blurry pics:

Pic #1 is my nod to the 60s with the colorblock shoes you all said I needed to keep No Matter What. And you were right. You can't see it well, but I'm wearing the mini-dot hose.

Pic #2 is my reference to the 80s. Any time I wear my BF jacket and an untucked shirt I feel transported to HS. To complete the mood, I played my 80s songlist all the way to work. And sang. You all don't know what you missed. Anyway, I'm not sure it works. The shirt is faded denim and I'm wearing MFNs. I wonder if the color combo is OK? Black boots might have bookended the jacket better. Thoughts on making it better?

Pic #3 is the Karen Kane dress. I'm on the fence. It looks much better in the photo than it is. I'm having issues with the lightweight jersey. Not back flab exactly, just too many ripples and bumps from my brastrap going across my back. Can't size up. Would a cami underneath make a sleeker line? If not, it's going back.

Beth, Outfit #2 is Killer Killer Killer! Amazing! About the KK dress, it looks great in the photo so hard to comment on your question. Have you asked for a second opinion from anyone IRL who can see the issue?

All 3 outfits are great. I can't help with the back issue for #3, is it more rippling than normal for a cling style fabric? Maybe a built in bra tank would solve the issue since then there would be no bra strap to create a dent?

Those color block shoes are the bomb! What a sweet, fun look! I'm with Laura, I LOVE #2. I think it totally works! I'm thinking darker boots would work but I like how the brown boots lighten up the look. The KK dress is gorgeous--surely you can make it work!

You DO look amazing in all three outfits! I'm sure you can find a way to smooth your back in the KK dress (cami or just a slip) and, if not, you could always rehome it

Have you tried the color block shoes with the KK dress? They might be a fun look with those pearls on top. . .

I love classic looks which you have so beautifully put together in #1 and #3. Regarding lumps and bumps, I like Flexees camisoles, they work and are all-day comfortable.

Another vote for 3xFab, Beth. Have you tried a 3/4 slip with the jersey dress? A light slip acts like a lining would and gives the fabric something smooth to move over. I'm also a flexees fan and have been thinking of asking Angie to pop them in the store - the firm part of the cami runs from just under the bust to just over the hip bone, with normal fabric over the bust and hips. It makes a huge difference in smoothing the terrain...but I suspect all you need with this is a 3/4 slip. Thx for posting!

All 3 looks are so fab. You have such style. #2 totally works for me and I think the KK dress looks great. Can't see any issues from the pic...it just looks gorgeous. Maybe a silk cami work smooth things out in back.

I tend to wear a bra with a much wider back band so I don't get that back bra bulge.

I think the KK dress look fabulous and I agree with Teri's recommendation. I have back smoothing bra's for my clingy tops. They have wider straps and less obvious hardware. You could also try a tank with shelf bra. Spanx has nice quality ones and if you get the right size you don't feel like you are wearing a girdle- it's just a nice smooth silhouette.

I love all of these outfits and agree about the right bra doing the trick with the black dress. I have one by Sassybax, which is sort of a goofy name, but you get the idea :).
