WIW: Swinging 60s and a NAS purchase

I have had a terrible cold and have lost my voice so I stayed home today, and will probably tomorrow too....which means I have time to take pics and post. I've been so time poor lately with the start of semester and a class of 500 undergrad students.

Anyway, I had to pop out and get my lashes done so I wore this.

Country Road 60s style top
Black Lee skinnies
Marc Jacobs mouse flats
I also wore a beautiful long swarovski and silver pendant but it broke on the way home.

My Halogen flats from the Nordstrom sale arrived! I had ordered blush and black. I love them! For pointy toes, they are extremely comfy on my ruined feet. They make my feet look longer, they're already long at size 11, but I don't really mind. I probably won't wear them with this outfit, but wanted to try them anyway. I can't wait for the black ones to arrive.

Totally cute outfit Coco. I love the shape of the sleeves on the top and being 3/4 length solves the problem of them dragging in everything. Nice shoes too. I think they would work with the outfit but so do the original pair.

Oh, I love the sleeves on that top too...kind of unexpected, as in I haven't seen any like that around much, but I love them! Love the simplicity of this outfit, enhanced by lovely shoes and interesting shapes.

What never fails to amaze me is your bright and colorful decor! It's so vibrant!!!! I don't think I've seen so many colours come together with such harmony before! I love everything I see - from the chandelier to the hanging lantern to the bright sofa cushions and the rug.....just fascinating! It's eclectic decor at its best!

Oh my, I just realised I've talked more about your decor than your outfit! But I'm sure you will forgive me ----- the outfit is classy n simple, but the decor makes a colour impact that's hard to miss!

I'm always drawn to colourful, exotic things for our home. The curtain is actually a bedspread from India. It's gorgeous, heavily embroidered and sequined. The chandelier came from an old junk shop. My house is a bit like my wardrobe, full of mismatched things bought with no consideration for practicality, but somehow it manages to fit together.

Mochi, I'm really looking forward to styling these shoes. I can imagine them with a shift dress and a full skirt...actually I think they should go with a lot of things in my wardrobe.

Lovely look here. Now you are making me second guess my decision on those Halogen flats, I thought they were a bit edgy for my style but see you've toned them down quite a bit with a column of black. Hmm.

I think it can Suz and Firecracker. It was a favourite, and I often use it as a focal point of simple outfits like this.
