Hi,

Here are some recent outfits.

#1-Taupe and Black Sweater
I talk about this sweater on my blog. It currently hovers in the donate pile.

#2-Grey Sweater
Another dark color day.

#3-Navy Sweater
Yet another dark day.

Hmm, looks like I need to add some colored sweaters into my closet.

Sounds like you gave that sweater a good chance, it looks to me like it could be a good spring/early summer sweater though.

You wear boot cut jeans well.

That ombre pullover is great! And I just read that it's in the donate pile. Hah!

#3 is such a yummy classic combination. Those light boots pick up your new blonder locks just perfectly. You look cute and cuddly

Great sweater looks! I'm with Angie, the ombre is my fave of the lot! I love dolmans. I also love how easy it is to change up this basic look--scarf, boots, booties. You look amazing in all!

These are all great sweaters, Lisa, and I like your use of scarves to lighten them up. I just pulled a pair of trousers from my donate pile, so you might want to hold off. Maybe the two of you just need a little space!

I love that ombre sweater! Try it with colored bottoms or grey - it's super cool to my eye.

Am looking for some sweater variety myself.

I like sweaters #2 & 3. I like the way they fit on you, very flattering. They end at the right spot, to my eye.

Tracina-Thanks! You are correct, I did purchase this sweater in the spring so I guess it's a "spring sweater" but I rarely wore it because it wasn't ever warm enough for me.

Asingh-Thanks! #3 was my favorite outfit of the week.

Angie-Thanks! Your style eye never ceases to amaze. I did just recently go a tad lighter with the hair.

Kellygirl-Thanks! I am also a fan of dolman styles, but I am learning since they are harder to layer they have to be really warm on their own.

Carole-Thanks! I do try to put items on "hold" for a while first. Sometimes I end up rescuing them.

Alaskagirl-Thanks! I'll try remixing the sweater with my green jeans and see if that helps, great idea!

Rachylou-Thanks! I do find tops have to hit at the "right" spot on my pear shape. I try to keep that in mind when I shop.

Another vote to retrieve the ombre sweater from the donate pile, Lisa. I really think you have found your solution here: pairing it with a button-down underneath looks great, and I like the pattern mixing with the polka dots.
You know I love you in blues, so it won't be a surprise to hear that I adore outfit three on you as well.

Also: loving the idea of adding some different coloured sweaters to your wardrobe.

I am really enjoying these tonal looks. The scarf in the last one was particularly effective at bringing together the blues and the earth tones. :o)

Another vote in favour of that first sweater.
