First time out for my knee high SW Cadet boots. They are so comfortable.

My husband laughed at me when he saw them and asked, are you stylin? It hurt my feelings and made me second guess myself but we were already in the car to go to an appt in Tacoma. Well believe it or not after the appt as I walked down the street to mail a letter I heard a young man of about age 40 or so say Nice Boots. I told him how much I appreciated that and that my husband had laughed at me. The man said well he's not seeing it right.

Thanks stranger for making my day.

We planted our yard in the fall so the plants were purchased at the nursery in the fall which means they are plants that really come into color this season. We are enjoying it so much.

I second: you do have a beautiful garden. This is my other obsession (aside from YLF). Is this a oak-leaf hydrangea on the right? I have one near my front door and my heart leaps every time I pass it: this is how much I adore this amazing plant!

Yes Sveta, that is an oak leaf hydranga and it is right near our front door, I love it.

My husband is from a farming background, if it's not utilitarian it just looks funny to him. I have to remember that.

I think you look beyond incredible, San! These boots were made for you, it's a modern, sleek, very stylish look and you are wearing them, the boots are not wearing you. I LOVE it!!!
I also absolutely love your gorgeous L.A.M.B. bag, the black and blue combination, your drapey top and your fab hairdo and colour.

(You've no idea how often I have wished I could have a look in your closet and borrow all your outfits!)

And if you walked past me, I'd be saying, WOW, what a stylish looking woman! Love those boots on you; with your height they are superb! But I also love your bag, your hair, and your overall confident, happy look.

Sometimes it just takes my husband a little while to get used to a new item. So, for example, when I brought home my jacket the other day, he said, "That's a bit weird." But when he saw me wearing in IRL, he said, "I'm so glad you bought that fantastic jacket!" I think sometimes they are threatened by new things...but when they see us wearing them happily they start to enjoy them, too.

My backyard is filled with oakleaf hydrangeas too. Great in our shady, woodsy property. I love all the variations in color and texture in the leaves and blooms throughout the year.
