We are going for lunch - nothing fancy, maybe Olive Garden or the like. My BF asked, "isn't that a lot of dress for lunchtime?" He has remarked before upon seeing daytime maxis on others. Where do you stand? Whole lot of dress, or fine for casual summer time lunch out?

This I bought last summer and this is it's 3rd outing. First 2 were Miami South Beach and Jacksonville Atlantic Beach. This time we are near water, but not exactly 'at' the beach. Maybe I'm weird with the situation specific idea of it lol.

I think it's a perfect dress for a summer lunch outing! Very fresh and breezy looking.

You look pretty. It may be too dressy for your BF? I do think that when one looks nice, one cheers others up too when they look at you. Most important is how you feel in it at the setting.

I'd say it's a daytime dress, no doubt. Especially if you dress it down a little with a jeans jacket or something else casual. Love it, and it looks FAB on you!

This is most certainly a casual maxi so perfect for the Olive Garden. Maybe his comment is coming from a place of not liking maxis. For some reason men don't seem to like maxis (my bf included).

Some people just see dresses as "dressy." Could that be the reason your bf thinks it's too much for daytime?

I think I won him over to my side He has no trouble with dressy - he's just more hung up on the silhoeutte vs the time of day I think.
Anyway, we decided to drive the 10 miles to the only 'beach' in town, which is just a cove on the Gulf really. So I got my situation specific moment in LOL.

Please wear this lovely maxi dress more even if you're far away from the beach! : )

If I had the figure to wear it, I would don it for a baseball game, date night, picnic, or an outdoor music concert. Just change up the accessories and add a topper depending on the occasion.

I think it is great at Olive garden AND the beach. I think it is a great day dress. Glad you wore it both places. Love the colors on you!!

I'm glad you're getting more wear out of this dress before you leave to go back to Ca. I think I've given up understanding what boys don't like... as long as I can judge how *much* my DH doesn't like it, lol.
