WIW: some recent outfits - YouLookFab Forum

Some recents
1-2 Hudson jeans, Classiques Entiere silk shell, Citron linen kimono-esque jacket, MeToo flats. Worn to an art faire.
3.& 6. VC orange blazer, Halogen pencil skirt, silk shell, Franco Sarto loafers. Worn to Mass and out for brunch
4-5. Pleione top worn over BP tank, Paige capris ( thank you, San), unknown brand flats and bag. Worn for errands and shopping.
I felt comfortable and pretty happy with each of these, but wonder if I should try to get the attached ties removed from the shell in #2. They are attached at the side seams and are probably meant to be tied in back over a bit of gathering there. The Pleione top fits oddly when buttoned up but makes a light weight layer on a hot day. We may be nearing the end of our relationship.

I love the outfit in 4 and 5. Things I like: the column of color, the light sheer print layer, the color of the bag and shoes. The whole thing works really well.

#1&#2 is a silhouette I love for the simplicity of the tee under the topper.
#4&#5 looks perfect for the occasion. I would remove the ties; they are a little distracting.
Don't let the Pleione top go yet, you know how hard it is to find the third piece in summer and this one fits the bill.

#1 and #3 are my favorites. Yes, I tried to pick one to be THE favorite, but I couldn't: that's what happens when you have such great outfits.

Adelfa, Lantana, Deborah, Jurocha, and Lyn D, thank you for your helpful comments. These outfits are all from my summer wardrobe which I'm just now using in spite of lower-than-normal temperatures.
Suz, if you see this, thank you for suggesting that each of our distinct 4 seasons have its own clothing selection. Otherwise my closet would be overstuffed with spring and even some winter stuff right now.
However, it means finding outfits that work, tweaking, and finding the holes, and that is where your comments are helpful.
Lantana, I'll heed your wise advice and keep the Pleione top. It does go with most of my bottoms and I liked the pattern mixing of this one with stripes. I will see about removing the ties on the top in 3&6. Angie suggested it last fall when I did a K/R on that top.
Deborah, thank you for commenting on the orange with blue. It's more contrast than I usually wear with bright color.

Angie, what is concerning me is what to do about the part in back that is slightly gathered with wide elastic. Knowing next to nothing about tailoring, I probably need to get a professional to look at it. The tie was probably meant to tie in back and cover the elastic bit, but I don't like that look which seems juvenile.

Then leave the tie in front! It looks fab

Joy, you look great. I love #3, I actually gasped. Love those colours and it looks so well matched, looks like a dress in photo. And the gold loafers are awesome too. ALso really like the luxe casual vibe in #1.
