wiw: slouchy/harem trouser?

pls pardon the angles of the photos- bebe is taking the pics. she is home with a fever and i'm having a sudden attack of vertigo but insisted on trying this silhouette before we both cuddle up on the couch.

I know the pants are flowy but I think the proportions on the pants are the way they are meant to be. suggestions for styling?

I await the judgements of those who really know what they are talking about, but I think they are amazing! They look super comfortable, too.

I am trying to think of your toppers. I guess I know the fall/winter ones better than the spring/summer ones. Are the pants off-white or blush? It's hard to tell on my monitor.

They look great on you, I think a cropped top would look great or a slightly more fitted top. Maybe try tucking the top in. The volume on that top does not seem to fall at the right spot. A volume top that has a bit of swing and is shorter might work. Great new shape, fun to experiment with different tops.

OMG I love them! I really like them with the heeled sandals too.
My preference for top would be something more fitted, especially around the waist. Or maybe a longer top with belt?

Love! I agree with Diana and Jeanne: either go shorter or tuck to show the top of the pants where they *do* fit, OR try a longer tunic top. If you can pull it off (I can't), I think the former looks extra stylish!

These trousers are absolutely amazing on you! I love the sandals too, they are a match made in heaven with the pants. I'm sure it's chilly there, but my first reaction was to semi-tuck (if you're ok with that look) and to roll and scrunch your sleeves. After reading the other comments, I think a flowy or swingy top with a fitted jacket might be a good option with them instead. I'm not an expert on this type of pants, but I think you hit a home run!

Yup, a fitted top would be awesome! I'm wondering if you can let the pants ride a little lower on your waist, too. I think that helped Una's slouchy pants a bit. I think Angie paired her harem pants with a slim, drapey sleeveless top.

I love you from the pants down, it is just the top isn't wonderful to my eye. I think what my eye wants is dimension that gives you more shape up top.

Does the top have buttons, and if it does, can you unbutton them to reveal a light colored cami or tank underneath that would create the illusion of a column of color with the pants? And can you roll up the sleeves? Rolling the sleeves up, in particular, would keep your dotted arms from being visually added to your dotted torso to make a big blob of upper body dots. I am constantly amazed by how virtually everyone with a bit extra in the middle (raising my own hand here!) looks better with exposed forearms!

thank you Angie! I will try rolling up the forearms on this popover as one restyle.Do you have other ideas for how to wear/what to wear with? Does it look ok as is? I seemt o ahve a lot of suggestions for a tighter top ( the only thing I can think of is a tank top which I don't like wearing and I tried tucking- it just makes the whole silhouette wider I think.

I agree with others that a fitted top or a longer top would work better proportionally than the popover.
