First, thank you, everyone! Angie, I am so flattered that you would compare me to one of my style icons!! I thought of Audrey, too, when I saw the skirt.
I have always adored this silhouette, both in general, and on me in particular. But it isn't always easy to find skirts like this. So I was thrilled when I discovered it and couldn't let its being a bit too big get in the way of keeping. So glad I made the right decision!
And Claire, you're absolutely right, first that I can straddle the saddle chair in this one (which means it will get worn for my work-at-home days) and ALSO that I'm a dominant Type 3 and this is a Type 3 print! I could not and would not wear such a large, vibrant print up close to my face; it would utterly overwhelm me. But I am taking a tip from you and wearing it on the bottom, where it seems to work just fine.
I don't agree with everything Carol Tuttle says or with all her makeovers, but it's a pretty interesting addition to some of the other theories. And did I miss your Kibbe type in that other thread? I know I asked you but can't remember if I ever got a chance to check your answer! In that system I kept coming out a Dramatic Classic; interestingly, some of the recommendations (e.g. angular shapes and some asymmetry in hair, for instance) are very similar for Tuttle's type 3 and my Kibbe type.
