WIW: Silk, cashmere, wool. Too much volume?

Love the fabrics here and the sort of graphic silk shirt. The colors a bit muddy (mole, blue, grey, black) and I wonder if it needs a silvery necklace or something to brighten it up? And is it too much volume with the wide trousers and long cardi?

- dressy wool trousers (Ann Taylor)
- cashmere cardi
- black booties

I like the muted color palette! I feel like a necklace would clutter the look with the graphic shirt. I dont think it is too much volume on volume, very lovely outfit

I would tuck and belt the shirt maybe, that way not both the shirt and pants overwhelm the body. Usually with wider leg pants, some more defined tops balance it out.

I like the top, also! I am having trouble with the cardigan--not as big a fan of the long ones, but in this case I think the color choices are at odds with the pieces. For that long cardi, I would actually wear all one color underneath--cardi over column of color. The top, while gray and tonal, is closer to the cardi and so the lines of the outfit are broken up at the hemline of the top and then again the hem of the cardigan.

I really like the blouse and trousers together - not too much volume IMO and I like the moody colour palette. I'm less in love with the cardigan with it as I feel it takes away from that gorgeous blouse.

I like the pieces - but not together. There are too many relaxed pieces, and to my eye, the three pieces together visually add weight through the midsection and hips.

Two of these pieces at a time is another story. I think that a very slim top or tee would be great with the pants and with/without the duster. Or wear that blouse and pants, but without the duster on top.

I like his silhouette, Harmonica, but also prefer it without the cardigan. I love the idea of adding something silver, perhaps silver metallic footwear? Cream or an animal print with cream in it could work too.

Thank you so much for the input! Seems like there is a consensus on the volume on volume I'll do some remixing with other pieces and see how it goes

I like the whole thing - the understated colors keep it tied together, and I like the relaxed vibe too. Nice!

I love the blouse! I especially like it without the cardigan, so the pocket detail is highlighted. I think it is a fairly slim fit, so it pairs well with the wider trousers. Great look!

Love the shirt and pants together and I love the idea of the cardigan. My preference would be to wear a collarless blouse in this ensemble with the cardigan. IMHO it would uncomplicated the combo and a long silver pendant could be added. Love the colours and the the shirt is too cool.
