It's getting reasonably chilly here in SF - not cold at all compared to the places a lot of you live, and I'm not going out and getting a puffer coat - but chilly enough that all my friends are complaining about having left the east coast precisely to avoid this sort of weather. I think we're mostly a bunch of whiners that have been spoiled by the moderate temperatures here, but I'm definitely still whining along with everyone else

The first outfit is what I wore to a pair of friends' joint birthday party on Saturday. It's not particularly exciting, but I realized that both of my previous WIWs are a bit more dressy/exciting than what I actually typically wear day to day, so I thought I'd post something like that to see what people think. I don't think the sweater quite goes (I grabbed it when running out the door to catch the bus, so basically didn't think about it at all) - what do people think? Also, the leather jacket is actually an olive/khaki green - it's a bit hard to tell in the lighting (here's a link so you can see it a bit better: http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/th.....et/3545388)

I went over to Greyscale's place before the party for dinner, so you get to see a picture of the two of us together too! It looks like she's lecturing on something in that picture while I look on dubiously, but I think she was actually just telling the person with the camera something while I stared off into space

My everyday, easy outfits have totally changed since I got boyfriend jeans (largely in part due to Angie's posts on them) and that motorcycle jacket. I'm super enjoying this oversized trend!

The second outfit is what I wore to work today. I wanted something warm and cuddly, and I've been a feeling a bit sick lately, so the cashmere with the high cowl neck seemed perfect. One of my roommates thinks the sweater is completely ridiculous. He says it makes me look like a small child, and while he's probably right and it's not the most flattering thing in my wardrobe, I super love the way it feels and looks. The necklace I picked up when I was in Chile a couple months ago with a friend - the black part is made from volcanic rock from Volcano Osorno, and the wooden center is front an alerce tree, which is sometimes called the "redwood of South America."

ETA one of the pictures with Greyscale that looks less silly. You can still see her fantastic outfit in the silly one too
