WIW: Purple Leather Jacket

Today I’m wearing my leather jacket my husband bought me for an early b-day present (http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....your-heart). I’m more in love with it now than when I chose it. It feels so good on, is soft like butter and feels like I’m wrapped in love (ok…sorry for the corny comment). I’ve paired the jacket with my simple ponte knit sheath dress (which seriously needs replacing – I’ve had it for three years now and it was only $30 when I bought it!), my black diamond textured tights and my Docs.

I would love all sorts of suggestions from you on different things I can wear this beautiful jacket with...and thanks for stopping by!

Oh is is beautiful !!! I think that you could wear it with almost anything. I really like jacets and jeans with a tie neck blouse where one leaves the tie long and loose ( with out a bow ). It would almost look like a mens tie with a loose, low knot.

I love it that you are wearing the outfit with boots. POW !

Wow, what a gorgeous jacket. i can so see why you love it.
I think you just have to try that with every thing. The colour would go with so many other things. Denim,gray, green and navy just for starters.

Gorgeous! I agree that you could wear this jacket so many ways. Dressed up as you did today, but also down with jeans.

I love it in photo #2 where it is open and we see a peak of what looks like a cool belt!

Oh, I am so glad you voted with your heart. LOOK at those fun and funky buttons. They are perfect for your style.

It's a bit difficult to judge the colour from the photos, but I would say it might well go with just about anything! Denim's an easy one, but how about trying it with its other analogous colour, red? It will also look super with your greys. And how about with white or off-white moving toward spring? Greens and orange would be fun, too.

Can't wait to see the variations you come up with!

I like the style and think it will be more versatile than you feared.

What a gorgeous jacket! Your husband has great taste I find purple goes well with a lot of colours including red, mustard and orange, so you could try it with those colours.

Sweet jacket - it would look fab with teal or turquoise accents (think Peacock-esque) along with indigo jeans & chestnut boots.

It's gorgeous and I love how you paired it with the black dress. I have a purple leather jacket almost that same color and it works almost as a neutral.

Everyone is right - you can wear that jacket with EVerything! And I'm sure you will. It's beautiful with your hair color, and dollars to donuts it will function as a neutral. The cinch in the back is TDF. I can't wait to see how you style it next.

So worth it. In the interest of full disclosure, the only thing I don't love about it is the two ribbons at the back. They just seem too small in scale to have an impact against the rest of the awesomeness of the jacket, especially when it's already beautifully tapere/fitted at the back. YMMV of course, and it's still a lovely piece.

Thanks for the purple jacket love everyone! Although I've decided it's more of a berry colour than purple! And thank you all for your suggestions for other combinations - I'm glad I've got white denim trousers on my spring list!

Fun jacket, Shannon! The color is lovely on you. Love it in #2, open with a peek of belt showing; the lace-up boots are super fun with this outfit. I have to agree with others that you can just pair this baby with everything! For spring, light denim, white/cream, light gray, a bit of tangerine orange, turquoise, light camel... so many options!
