I'm taking Modgirl's challenge to dress down a formal skirt:

I found this gorgeous Cynthia Rowley skirt at Marshall's the other day, worn with Dr. Scholl's booties, patterned tights from Target, belt from Penney's, and Levi's Trucker denim jacket.

Looks great for day! What makes this a formal skirt? What is the fabric? I don' t own a single formal street length skirt - unless people are defining it differently than I would.

I love Cynthia Rowley. I have a Cynthia Rowley suit I bought when I weighed more and I can't convince myself to part with it, it's so beautiful. I need to get it taken in.

Vildy- the fabric is much more formal than I would normally wear in the daytime. It's a sheer chiffon with a satin lining.
