In my jacket proportions thread (http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....th-jackets) I mentioned that I found this raspberry red cord jacket difficult to wear. The cropped length is difficult for my long-in-the-rise self to pair with trousers. Plus, I don't like the way it looks with black. As many of you know, I'm building a wardrobe from the ground up (slowly, as budget allows), and until a month ago, the only non-dressy skirt I had was black, plus my wardrobe workhorse dress is black as well! That effectively limited my options for wearing the jacket. In fact, I was almost ready to put it aside until spring.

But after I bought my grey skirt, it occurred to me that I could take inspiration from Angie's bright jeans post and pair it with the new skirt. I'm wearing it with some fun plaid tights I found in Toronto, and my charcoal wool t-neck.

Bonus shot of Max.

Thank you for looking and all comments welcome, of course! If you have more styling ideas for the jacket, do let me know. A denim skirt (if I had one) is one idea I've had.
