WIW: Oversized sweater!

I have had this Michael Michael Kors sweater for two years - I got it on clearance at Nordstrom. It is my FAVORITE sweater. Although you can't tell here, it's basically a square shape with narrow arms. It's especially comfy on a plane, because it's like wearing a big blanket. I know this look is not for everyone (Rita!), but I am pretty sure it is one look all my friends would peg as totally me.

It drapes nicely and the deep v neck makes it sexy. I really like it all together. It is a nice color too.

I can see why it is your favorite! It looks very comfortable and yet it maintains some feminine sass, especially paired with the skinnies.

DL, skinny on the bottom is KEY for me! Also, I prefer the square wide hem which de-emphasizes my IT shoulders a little more. I'm so excited that I don't have to hide from you all in this look now!

Great look and no need to hide. This is a chic and easy go-to formula -- skinny jeans and a big top.

I like how all of your supporting pieces add up to giving you a long lean look so you can still tell that there is a nice shape underneath. The sleek black pants and same colored heels really help to give you a long, tall, lean appearance. The sweater is also just the right length that you could wear it with leggings but not so long that it overwhelms you. So you're right, I wouldn't put this sweater on my apple bod but it looks fab on you.

Rita, I think this would be flattering on a slender apple shape like you! I am your height and size, and I have a belly pooch - this totally hides it while creating (hopefully) the illusion of its non-existence. Just sayin', I think you'd look adorable in this style. BTW, this is a size SMALL in this style!

I have this huge jumper with an open neckline I wear all the time in winter because it's sweet, stylish, warm and comfy. I love that top on you, though I find it more sexy than cute and more fresh than warm

Oh I LOVE this Una! This would also look great with tall boots (of any color). Totally makes me wish my oversized sweater wasn't banded so tightly at the bottom hem because I so so want to copy this look. Hmm maybe I'll try it anyway....

I can't believe you were afraid to show this; it's fantastic! The whole look comes across to me as very creative/artistic with dramatic simplicity. The lines are strong and I love the deep V and fitted sleeves that showcase your slim limbs. The color is perfect and I love it with your new haircut, too!

Claire, it's not so much that I was afraid to show this - it's more that I considered it a travel or lazy day look (no fuss, just sweater and skinnies) and nothing special worth posting for the forum. Ask my poor husband how often he sees me in some variation of this outfit!

QM, Garnet Hill has a few different versions of this, though they ran out of the one I really wanted before I had a chance to order it (wine cashmere!). Mine is just cotton.

Angie's blog post today made me so happy that I could celebrate something I've always loved!
