WIW: OTK boots and K/R WHBM culottes

I wore #1 to work today. The women I work with could not get enough of the boots! One person even tried them on. DH conceded that they are not inappropriate as worn this way. I have lots of other plans for them! You can barely see but they come to just over my knee. F21 dress, Target necklace, Via Spiga Alto boots.

Next, keep or return these culottes? I'm leaning to keep as they fit really well and in a petite length are not overwhelming. The different pair I ordered in a regular size are too big and will go back. These are a darker grey than they appear here. Also thanks to Firecracker for the tip on this Madewell top, which I adore in this color!

I like the fit of the culotte too. What footwear will you wear with them? That seems to be the biggest issue most have trouble with when styling the cropped pants.

Kitty is adorable. I love long haired cats and especially if they are arrogant.

I like the culottes in #2, especially when paired with this top. The fit and length, both are perfect.

I like it all, as usual! Those boots are awesome on you. Glad you've worn them to work already. The culottes are really nice; they look tailored and dressy, great for work. I think they would be great with oxfords or with knee-high boots. Of course I like the top, too.

The kitty is adorable; bonus pet photos are a treat.

I love it all on you Una, that top is a great shape and colour.

I like these culottes, and would wear with tall boots or maybe (?) ankle boots and tights, especially with a heel. Or in summer with sandals. Tonal could be cool to tie tights in with either the shoes or the culottes.

Love the dress and boots! Are they dark grey? Love the suede. Ylf! Love the top too. I won't comment on the culottes because I am not a culottes gal. Not yet anyway. Kitty Kat is super cute.

The culottes are actually a mid-weight and are lined - I think they will be fine for winter with tights underneath. I plan to wear them with these boots actually - that was my main focus in getting OTK boots, to increase the possibility of other winter silhouettes.

Yay, the OTK boots look fantastic and very office appropriate with the dress. The fit on the culottes looks perfect, but maybe it's the shoes that are throwing me off - with flat shoes I'd like to see the culottes a little shorter, but if you're going to wear them with the OtK boots or with heels, the length is probably perfect.

The boots are great--I think you've juxtaposed them perfectly with the kind of mod, boxier dress that gives a sporty, not bombshell vibe--

Now I want to look for the culottes.

Still drooling over those boots! Really like the culottes. I think they will work with the boots and also boots with heels. I like the idea of the culottes being lined as it can really bug me when clothing sticks to my tights or whatever I am wearing underneath.

Love, love, LOVE the boots! They're perfect. I'm the spanner on the culottes, though. The colour is too light (you said they read darker IRL, but still) and maybe it is the shoes, but they are just reading a little... frumpy to me. I'm struggling with the right wording so as not to offend anyone, but they look like middle-aged-wear-in-the-summer yard pants (and I am technically middle-aged and wear similar length pants in the summer!). However, never say never, and I am sure that with edgier shoes and outfit they might work.

I'm with UmmLila. Can you post the culottes with maybe boots or booties? I'm not completely sold on them and I think it's the styling. I'm not crazy about the proportions that are happening in that photo.

Love #1. I've always had a bit of a poison eye for OTK boots but I really like how you've styled them here. For the culottes, I also want to see them with boots or booties. They have a lot of potential!

I do like your boots! Culottes need styling but the basis is there. Who does Kitty's hair - it's magnificent!
