Normally I would only post stuff that I really think looks good, or that i have a question about. But,so let me just say One More Time how much YLF has changed my life. And, to demonstrate, I am going to share an outfit I'm getting rid of.

Last week I pulled out a Talbot's suit that is about 3 years old. Got it at the outlet, and even had it "altered". Sleeve length, pants length, maybe even a tuck in the jacket, though you'd never know it. (In fact, the cleaner messed up the sleeves on the jacket, almost ruined it.)

I put it on, in my new YLF-inspired life, and thought, "hmmm, these pants don't feel right...they're sitting low, hanging funny" But, they weren't AS short as some of my trousers were (preYLF. Of course). So, I worked on putting an outfit together, and the pieces aren't bad. Off I went to Parsippany.

1) My awesome red Hobo bag. Love this bag.

2) print knit top - Kenneth Cole, from TJ Maxx.. It's cute on its own-- it has 3 or 4 metal rings at each shoulder strap. Anyway, I would usually have just worn a solid cami, black or white, so this was a style choice.
3) Regular pearls
4) Sofft patent pumps (Florence possibly, got them at Rack) - a flight attendant complimented me on them -- batting 1000 with these shoes getting compliments.

But -- OMG you guys...this suit is the most ill-fitting thing on earth!! Donate, donate, donate!

Basically I need to invest in a full length mirror ASAP. Thank you YLF for saving me from myself.

To redeem myself here, I think that Outfit #2 was cute, and a little outside my comfort zone. I had never worn tights with a tunic top. The top had hung in my closet for months.

Top : Alfani from Macy's
Tights : Loft
Sweater : Loft
Shoes : Franco Sarto, the ones I had on in cupertino.
Belt : I actually have a belt on that you can't see too well, from Chico's -- this print is big, so maybe if I want to belt it, a wide black elasticized belt?

Anyway,I have a feeling that I'm going to learn more from my bad outfits than my good ones...

The bike ride starts tomorrow, so I'll check in post-184 miles. Weather has been awesome in DC area, but rain is predicted every day of the 4 we're on the trail.
