This is one hurried post, but EM's thread reminded me I wanted to make a recap of my travel wardrobe, so here it is.

In my response on her thread I pretty much described

my packing formula as:

  • 3 different bottoms or 4 if you have room
  • 3-4 tops that can easily layer over each other if gets too cold (more if there's room in the suitcase. Default item I always pack is white button down)
  • 1 jacket that goes with everything (for me that's leather jacket)
  • 1 backup jacket
  • 1 cardigan
  • maybe a comfy (ponte?) dress (I did not pack it this time)
  • 3-4 pairs of shoes - comfort is a must for them all
  • scarf or two to add colour/pattern

In my case this recipe had led the following content of the suitcase:

  • #1 The whole wardrobe was based on this scarf
  • #2 What I packed and actually wore
  • #3 The footwear
  • #4 What I also packed but did not get to wear (plus I only wore the Cons when we travelled).
  • #5 onwards - The outfits minus certain options I haven't photographed.
  • #15-16 - This is how I layered stuff when it was very cold. Shown here with the olive jacket as the layers can be seen easier that way, but IRL it was done with the black leather jacket.

Strange white spots on some photos courtesy of camera and lighting...

Other important notes:

  • this was for 2 weeks and I could wash in the meantime (thanks Elizabeth)
  • the weather ranged from very warm to rather cold
  • I would have taken BF with me, but hubby just doesn't like them so it was a compromise I happily made.
  • The weather was a bit erratic, mostly mild and warm, sometimes rainy. Through the windows of the bus I took to travel from my base to my hometown I could even see the snow.
  • The recap of the trip and purchases are on my earlier thread.

Thanks for your time and for stopping by.
