This week it was time to take the pink colour out of the crayon box in honour of Breast Health Awareness Month. All these outfits have left the house, whether to attend my language classes, to pick the kid up from school or take him to park, or to go shopping. Lots of repetitions of tried and tested formulas, lots of experimenting, lots of swapping one or two pieces to create new outfits, lots of old things which lend themselves beautifully to some new combinations.

Please excuse the bad lighting, I just can't get it right at the one spot that's good for WIWs taking in my current place.

Starting from Tuesday:

  1. Tuesday morning - Worn to: language school, commuting by bike. Pink element: the scarf.
  2. Tuesday afternoon - Worn to: school run, then play time in the park. Commuting by: bus. Cold weather take on denim-on-denim formula (the skirt is made of dark denim and may be a subject to post about its future in my wardrobe). Pink element: does lip gloss count?
  3. Wednesday morning - Worn to: language school, commuting by bike. Pink elements: the dark orchid scarf and top, matching textured hose, matching quilted jacket. Worn with grey woollen skirt and navy sweater (this neutrals combination is my latest discovery thanks to Una), the sweater makes me Amy's sort of twin, belting was directly inspired by Astrid's opera outfit creation.
  4. Wednesday afternoon - Worn to: the kitchen store (shopping for the future house), commuting by car. Pink elements: the dark orchid scarf and top same as in the morning, black tunic, BF jeans, wooden necklace for some extra colour and fun. Those gloves are purple IRL, not cobalt blue, but I simply can't set up the camera to photograph the colour faithfully.
  5. Thursday morning - Worn to: language school then for the hair appointment, commuting by bike. Pink element: cardigan and some details in the scarf.
  6. Friday morning - Worn to: language school, commuting by bike. Pink element: the scarf. I just love pink and red together and since I needed warmer tights I have decided that purple tights match the rest of the outfit per(ple)fectely. New shoes in action too.
  7. Friday afternoon - on the way home from school I spotted this old grey building covered with the autumn leaves. I snapped the photo and on the rest of the journey home thought whether I can somehow 'translate' the scene into the outfit. One by one piece, and I came up with this. I would have never thought of wearing this shade of pink or grey with burgundy, but I felt great wearing it and whole the outfit felt so fresh to my eye. Worn to: school run, commuting by bus - basically covered by the jacket and unseen by anyone except me - so the outfit is effectively for your eyes only.
  8. Joyful extras: more of divine autumn scenery and colours from around me.
