On Sunday, our final day in the city, it cooled down considerably! I was happy to have my new BP cami to layer under my shirt, and I finally got to wear the new trench. I'm also wearing my Halogen skirt, my ON leopard print scarf (waving at Claire!) and some red accessories.

Oh...and the new Doc Marcies that followed me back to the hotel from Soho on Saturday. Hubby and I had split up for a while and we met at the theatre. He saw my bags and his face blanched. "You bought MORE shoes????"

"Uh...actually, they are sort of boots," I explained. "You know...for our dominant season."

He did not look amused.

But then I put them on the next morning. I worried that he would think they were ridiculous.

Au contraire!! He said, "THOSE ARE FANTASTIC!! I'm so glad you bought those!!!!"

Friends, so was I. These are without question THE most comfortable out-of-the-box shoes I have had in eons. I walked miles and miles and miles in them yesterday. From Greenwich Village to Chelsea, on the Highline and on the streets....these boots are so unbelievably great I want a pair in 10 colours. If only they made them in that many colours!

I don't know if they are stumpifying. Hubby did not think so, and that is good enough for me when the comfort factor is SO incredible.

Note: I do not work for Doc Martens.
