WIW Monday and Tuesday (with emergency scarf)

Monday:

Dress: Consignment

Cami: Solutions
Shoes: Jessica Simpson

I'm still not a million percent in love with this dress, even after having it shortened. But it was easy for an unseasonably warm day!

Tuesday:

Sweater set: Talbots via consignment
Skirt: DKNY via consignment
Shoes: Payless
Belt: ancient from my closet
Scarf: Mossimo

So I felt a little naked and like this outfit needed something (also it really cooled off and I was cold! shoulda bought some tights while I was at it!), and I dashed out at lunch time to look for a brown scarf. Found this one at Target and was tickled by the pattern mixing and how the colors worked together. But looking at the photos, I'm thinking maybe the look was cleaner and more flattering with just the belt.

Thoughts?

I like both days' outfits! Pic#1 - perfect length, beautiful legs - and I especially like the way the bandaid on your finger picks up the white color of your cami and watch! LOL! Day #2 - VA-VA-VOOm! Wow! Do you ever look sexy-secretary beautiful! I think I like it best without the scarf - simple and classic. Great look and great color for you! Also, I love your hair straightened! So pretty!

I dont think that dress is doing you much justice - I feel the busy print is hiding your gorgeous figure somewhat. My first instinct was to suggest trying a tan belt with it too.

Love that blue cardi in the 2nd & 3rd photos, looks great on you! Maybe try ditching the belt with the scarf? You look so great in bright colors too I think a nice bright colored scarf would look great with this outfit too.

I love the shape of this dress on your body, but not so much the color. It seems to me you need more saturated, bolder, deeper colors close to your face! Color like this it's kind of flat and it makes you look washed out, that could be why, you still don't love it?
Second outfit is much nicer, LOVE the colors on you! I think I would of loved it even more if the scarf you bought was warmer in the tones.

You are a knock-out in blue! Killer outfit - the scarf is fab.

Not feeling the dress - the fit is divine, but the pattern isn't working somehow. I would go for a beautiful saturated color as QM mentioned.

I think you look fab in both! Maybe try a nice colorful scarf with the first dress, or layer a structured colorful jacket over it, to give it that oomph. I really like the scarf with the second look, but since you are wearing a belt I would probably tie the scarf up so that it doesn't compete with the belt (so, more draped around your neck, with little tails rather than longer ones, if that makes sense!). But fab, as usual!

The size of the print in #1's dress is throwing me I think, it feels a little too small (even though I know you're petite!); it could also be a little too high contrast of a print. The dress shape and cut is lovely on you though! I like the idea of pairing a solid jacket over it, though that doesn't help for warm days

#2/3, love that blue on you! Both versions are good, slightly different vibes; I think if you wear the scarf, as others have said, the belt should go. And then in that case I'd go with black or rose colored accessories.
