WIW : May 18, suggestions/input welcome

Still working on getting better photos, sorry!

1 and 2 - Coral/dusty pink cardigan - Coast. Taupe linen mix pants - Next, ivory cami - Marks and Spencer, gold flat sandals - Next (really, really old!), mother of pearl butterfly on neutral leather necklace - Debenhams (all UK stores).

3 - close up of sandals as I don't seem to be able to get my whole self in the photo.

I've worked out a big wardrobe hole - I need some comfortable flat ballet shoes - and I have a pair of sandals to return so I think I will try these (metallic colour so hopefully work work as a neutral?!) http://www.clarks.co.uk/find/d.....s-20343276

It's about 66 degrees here today - I don't need a jacket (I tend to feel warm) if I go out, but I don't really want bare toes.

Your outfit is lovely. I would maybe try a pearl, gold or silver longish necklace and keep the cardigan either unbottoned or only buttoned in the middle. Also, you could try pointy toe shoes to elongate your legs.

I think this looks great! I like the sandals with it, but sounds like it might be too chilly for you. Those look like cute flats too. Can you adjust your necklace a tiny bit shorter? You can't quite make it all out. Oh, just re-read your description ... I thought it might be on a chain, I know the leather necklace can be hard to adjust.

That's a lovely outfit, I really like the softer, lighter colours together (you look great in pink). I was also going to suggest trying the cardigan buttoned with the middle button only.

The flats you linked too will absolutely function as a neutral and they look comfy too!

Gorgeous color cardigan on you. I think metallic flats are very neutral and will work well anytime you want to wear black shoes, you can grab the metallic one's.

Very nice fabric of the pants. I think Angie calls that a false plain which seems to add texture. I'm always looking for fabrics that add texture with out being over done.
You have some great suggestions here. Your color combo is very nice.

Pretty color! I agree on leaving the cardigan open or only buttoning the middle. I would love to see a longer necklace with this, that necklace is cute, but seems to fall at an awkward place for the shirt - but that might just be the picture angle. Good job!

Pretty colors, and great wide legs! Another vote for buttoning the cardigan in the middle, or possibly belting it open as well. For your photos, can you set your white balance either to "auto" or to "outdoor" if you're using all natural light or "incandescent" if you're using all indoor light? That should solve the blue issue

Thank you - everyone. I think I'm bored with my clothes - I do make things last - cardigan about 4 years old, pants about the same, cami even older!

Aida - I will fiddle with the white balance - it's a new camera and I haven't quite worked it out yet. Thank you.

The cardigan - it has a sort of scoop neck, and I am not sure it will work with just the middle buttons buttoned - I will try though, next time I wear it. The necklace does sit above the neckline of the cami, but I would like to try a longer necklace and am on the look out for one (went to the charity shop yesterday looking for jewellery and came back with a top!).

Maybe what you need is a style change. The current one obviously work really well for you, but it seems you want to move on. I would suggest an afternoon for yourself. going to stores such as Club Monaco, Clio, Talbots, etc... (not the cheaper ones at this stage). Try things there. Buy maybe one piece that is out of your style comfort zone but that speaks to you. Before buying, make sure of the return policy. Go home, try it with various other pieces from your closet. Post results! You may have to do a few returns before you find what is in your heart.

I think you are right krishnidoux - I am in the UK though, so will have to shop the UK stores!

ButterflyLady, the stores I mentioned are mid-range. Not high end boutiques that will ruin your wallet, but not the bargain places geared at younger crowds either.
