WIW: lemon, gray, white (and colorblocking)

I've been waiting to wear my lemon jeans until the mood struck. And today it finally did. So here's my attempt at Angie's citron/gray/white formula (and this outfit is really a Joy copycat). I didn't think I'd like it - the yellow feels so spring-like, and we're right in the heart of winter. But It's making me smile, and I feel happier than I expected about it. What do you think? Does it seem seasonally confused?
(I got cold with just the sweater and added a scarf, but the second photo cut off my feet)

Yesterday I wore my 80s colorblocked velour sweatshirt with green skinnies. I liked it too.

Any feedback is welcome - what should be improved on either of these?

(I'm noticing in the photo that I should scrunch my sleeves on the gray sweater. Too bad it's cold and I want my wrists covered.)

Your citron outfit looks great! I think I like it better with the scarf because then you don't see the layering shirt peeking out of the v-neck. The other outfit looks nice and comfy too.

I really like the grey and yellow outfit, especially with the addition of the scarf. It makes it more seasonally appropriate and I really like the soft colors of your scarf. The 80's shirt looks good with the green pants.

Love those lemon jeans! They look spectacular paired with gray sweater and fab camo sneakers. The combo is not at all seasonally confused… nice to see a little sunshine in February. Your green skinnies are so fun and look sharp with the retro-80's colorblock top and black boots. Nice!!!!

Don't you have to smile every time you catch a glimpse of your lemon-clad legs? ;). I like both outfits very much, but the color blocked sweater that you are wearing with the green jeans is exceptional. It would also be stunning with the yellow jeans. Both are happy, cozy outfits.

pil - Yes, I did make the scarf - it's that "arm knitting" that was all over pinterest near Christmas. It took me a while to figure it out for myself, but was easy once I got going - it took maybe 40 minutes to make.

I really like both of these, Ami. I have yellow jeans that I wore with a gray top last year and I really liked the combo. I have sort of been waiting for spring to wear them again but you've inspired me to break them out soon.
