WIW: Leith cardi and K/R Gudren Sjoden dress

I don't think I made it clear that I actually bought the Leith cardigan. I wore it today with my beloved plaid Kuts from last year and these Stuart Weitzman oil slick sneakers. (It was a casual day at work today - President Obama will be here next week and we were all reviewing security measures since he's staying a block from my workplace). My very stylish co-worker suggested I could also turn this cardigan backwards and wrap it around to the front! Thoughts? Too long, too much, cool, warm?

Also, the Gudren Sjoden order arrived. It's all nice but nothing I couldn't get for less in India, plus it runs a little big and cut for pears and hourglasses. However, this jersey dress is really awesome - it has a great exaggerated tulip shape, plus the perfect V neck and pockets, and it's a beautiful soft substantial drapey knit. It seems like it could be added to my throw-on-and-go work collection. What do you think?

Two bonus pics - magic Nine West dress worn last week. This dress NEVER fails to get compliments. And got my hair trimmed today and she also covered up some remaining faded red bits with a blue-black, so now it's just grow grow grow time!

I love that cardi! Good decision to go back for it. And fabbers are now making me think I need plaid pants. Great look. I find you can also pull up both corners of a waterfall cardi and tuck it around your neck to create a draped tunic look. Will have to try the backwards version!
I vote keep the dress. The colours are fab on you and the lantern shape looks fresh to me.
Other dress, and your hair, are fab.

I like the first outfit as it is. There is a lot of depth to it, with the dark shades punctuated by the interest of the plaid, the oil spill shine and the opulent drape of the cardi.
Love the new dress. I'm very biased toward that kind of print though, a kind of subtle colorway and a print with somewhat blurred-edge shapes. The colors and shape of the dress look great on you. It's a very different look--quite a bit softer--than what I've seen you wear in the past, but you look at ease in it.
The Nine West dress is super fun looking with the bold color and print.

Thanks Sharan and Brooklyn! I'm finding these cool blues attractive with my hair these days. It is a softer look but it fits in one of my work capsules (the "get dressed in the dark" one!) and I inadvertently have started to have different style personas for each capsule. Weird?

Not weird at all, at least to me. I sometimes feel a little schizo in my style, but I think it's part of being an "eclectic." Maybe you are becoming eclectic in your style.

The cardigan! The color does suit you very well. I especially like it in #2 where it is worn differently. Reins in some of the volume.

The cardigan works well for you Una. I like it styled both ways. The wrap gives some definition to your shape but is far from fitted. It works well.

The dress looks like a keeper too. The color is fantastic and the shape works really well AND it looks like it has pockets.

I think your hair is one of the best examples of growing out grey that I have seen. The current cut and style work really well with the color and it seems to be broadening your color palette.

Interesting how uniformly your hair is changing. I am much whiter in front and darker in the back.
Oh and the clothes! Love the cardigan. I love the dress too, it may be one of those things that looks like you could get cheaper but actually is subtly extremely well made and designed and wouldn't work as well if you got the almost version.
