This week I'm trying to make my accessories the starting point for outfits. Since I often wear scarves, today's outfit might look similar to what I would wear any day. That might be so, but this time the scarf was the beginning, not the end. I have a small silk scarf that is a little stiff, so it doesn't drape very well. It has lovely colors in lime, green, coral, fuchsia, purple.
I liked Ornella's way of tying her scarf inside the collar of a shirt, so that was what I did, too. Then I added the red dress (also Ornella-inspired), cognac boots and the taupe leather moto. Hopefully I'll get to work without freezing too much. I'm very tired of black, so I added my oxblood red bag instead (the photos were taken the other day, and this is written in the morning before I leave the house).
I hope you like it! I feel very colorful and Spring-ish today, and hopefully the sun warms me up on my way home this afternoon. I worry that my feet might get tired, so I've planned an alternative with oxfords. Does it work?
#1: The inspiration silk scarf + entire outfit
#2: Without the jacket
#3: An alternative with oxfords
#4: Sans jacket.
Thank you for looking! All and any comments are truly appreciated.
ETA: After posting, my daughter asked if we could walk to the train together instead of taking the bus. It's a 20 minute walk, so I swapped the boots for the oxfords - which probably is even more Ornella inspired! I'm so happy I did, because it feels even better than than with the boots. It was pretty cold, but not more than I could handle. I wear my nude hose with pride, on wintery legs and all:)
