As I mentioned yesterday, I've spent this week putting together outfits inspired by Betina Lou's fall lookbook. Tuesday turned out to be the perfect day for a shorts look, as it was freakishly warm (it got up into the high 70s!). So I opted for very sheer tights & didn't even need a topper over my short sleeved blouse. I felt it might look a bit unbalanced though with bare arms on top & tights on bottom (Suz avert your seasonal poison eye! lol), so I tried adding this wool hat to echo the shorts texture. I actually got this in college, but it had been buried in a moving box for ages, and I came across it as I was moving up to New York and sorting through the last of my things. I thought it was worth giving to a try & seeing if it could become an active part of my wardrobe again! It feels awfully small after my slouchy berets, so I took a close up for honest opinions re: whether it flatters me or not. I have a fairly big head & big features, hence why I usually try to wear big hats to optically shrink myself. I do like the extra structure of this one though, if it's flattering.

Feedback always welcome! I think after today I'll try posting WIW stuff every other day so as not to clog the forum w replying to comments on older threads. I'm trying to get in the habit of daily photographs, but it does create a bit of a backlog. Sorry about that!
