wiw: fur vest and baggy pants

i think these pants are too baggy. they bow out at the thigh side.

dark royal blue fur vest (old), jcrew baggy toothpicks (new), ink booties (aida's pick at ssif), belt (old hand-me-up), ribbed black tneck (super old)

tweaks?

I adore the vest, turtleneck, and those fab booties (and the cooler weather in which to wear them!), but I will leave the jeans assessment to the wise ones here who know way more than I!

It's a cool outfit but the way the thigh area bows out is one of my pet peeves. Would you consider having them altered?

I'm not sure. They look fashionable to me, bj1111. But I get that you're over this amount of slouch. Part of me is too. Need tailoring WITH the slouch when it comes to daily outfits.

Yeah, I would like them a little narrower and a little longer. Yesterday, I was just wearing some rolled up light blue toothpicks from last winter that don't do this side bagging thing (quite possibly because I fill them out too well!)

I love everything about this outfit (the colors and textures, yum), but if I was looking at myself in the mirror I might want to switch to pants that were slimmer at the thighs and/or roll the hem slightly lower so it rests on the top edge of the bootie.

i actually like these pants and thought i looked the bees knees until i took a photo. maybe it's how i'm standing. i cuffed higher so the pant would hang rather than sit on the top of the bootie. maybe i need to try rabbit's suggestion to roll a bit lower.

I agree with Rabbit. Really my only thought was rolling the jeans to hit the top of the boot. Otherwise fab. I totally get what you mean about feeling it until you snap the pic. Jeez I do that A LOT.

I love this dark outfit! Fun mix of dark blues and black. What are those awesome booties?
I wondered the same thing that you mentioned, Ruth--maybe it's the way you're standing for the photo. If they felt good and looked good in the mirror, I would take the photo with a grain of salt.

I think it is how you are standing...too stiff in the leg! i had red somewhere that if it can bend, you should bend it in photos...bend one knee, put one foot forward, relax you joints a bit. Then take a pic, I'' bet it looks completely different! I do like this outfit on you!

You are darling. Roll the jeans to the top of the booties and if you gave a chance resnap the picture. I think it works.

Sharan, those are bp trolley from ssif that aida found. They are a wonder.

Debs, i will try to reshoot...the outfit is a few days old so might need to recreate! At least i will have a "new" outfit to try out.
