I also was not a fan of fur vests...until I found this one. I knew I didn't want anything lighter colored or multi colored because IMHO, that would make the vest more casual and then I wouldn't be comfortable wearing it to work. I wanted a vest that was sleeker and could actually come across as "dressy". This one fit the bill with its fit, dark brown (almost black) color and its shine.
Mochi - it's interesting that you mention the collar on the vest. That's one of things that attracted me to this style. I think the collar makes it a little dressier and work appropriate.
Suz - OMG...LOL! That's exactly what hubby calls this vest - my sexy mink vest...ha ha ha....
Ceit - I'm entirely sure yet what the dress code will be in my new position. It is a more corporate office setting but in a more relaxed hospital, if that makes any sense. The ladies I saw there when I went for my interviews were wearing basic black pants and a sweater. I did see one lady in a fabulous black/white polka dot tube-style skirt with black tights, black turtleneck and booties. I'll have to observe once I'm there and see how the others dress. Mind you, the CEO was wearing jeans, turtleneck, sport coat and running shoes when I went for my interview...I don't think they do Casual Friday though.
