This is a thrifted Old Navy dress that I just love. It has pockets (my weakness!)... With electric blue booties. I didn't try to bookend or anything, as I wanted to let the booties be the focus. Okay or leg shortening or too minimal or anything else? Feedback welcome!

Fab! Good plan to showcase the footwear! I think you could add - looking pretty minimal to me. HOWEVER, you know I love accessories. But monochrome scarf or pendant could work. Black gauzy scarf with fringe? What do you think?

Lovely! I can see why you love that dress; it has a great shape. Since the booties are close to the same tone (value? darkness?) as the dress and hose, they do not shorten your legs.

I don't think an accessory or "completer piece" would take any impact away from the booties...they are CLEARLY the star of the show here. Rrrrrrrrr! FAB!

YAY! A fun waist surrender look. Surprisingly it is not searing my eyes! The kids will love your booties.

This definitely has clean lines and the simplicity of it with the electric blue booties makes a FAB stylish statement. Your hair adds even more zing to this look!

I was also going to say that you did lengthen your leg line because you matched your hose to your dress.

Love! The neutral-with-pop-of-color formula is close to my heart. I like that, as cjh said, you *could* add a scarf/coat or something if you wanted to warm up or add something, but you don't *need* to. I'm thinking that means you can wear this same outfit over and over and not feel stale.

Wow, did these boots get compliments! Little girls, moms, teachers - it was pretty funny, since I was standing out in the hall giving spelling tests. The principal even stopped me in the lobby to ogle them.

Best of all, I feel perfectly at home in this outfit, even though I have to get used to the heel height (ouchie).

Rita, this is a different black dress - I came across it thrifting, right after picking up the Garnet Hill one. This one is more fit and flare, and would probably be a tunic on someone taller.
