I promised to return to this thread later Thank you all again, I was hoping for some reassurance that I was on the right track with the culottes experiment, but your kind comments I glanced over while waking up with a cup of coffee were like additional dose of caffeine and left me feeling like I was walking on the cloud the whole day. Ah, the magic of YLF boosts…

I am also thrilled you like my longer hair. For those who asked: Yes, this is my naturally wavy hair, almost wash-and-go with minimal styling. Just the way I always imagined my long hair should look like, but it took an almost random hairdresser in a small Italian village where we went on the winter holidays to get it right! Now I’m in the process of looking for a new hairstylist, given that the Italian lady lives too far away and I’ve decided my previous regular hairstylist deserved no more chances since I practically was only not holding the scissors for him. At least I know where I'll want to go next winter

But back to culottes, they instantly closed the gap in the wardrobe I identified a while ago and really brought home how old(er), established content of the wardrobe can be efficiently refreshed by something new, different, modern, unexpected. I have more ideas what to wear them with and will hopefully share them with you in the future.

I like them with the top tucked, as it breaks up the horizontal white line at your hips and is more flattering, IMO, but either version is very chic!

Holy smokes, you look great, Ornella! Those culottes are made for you--perfect length and fit. I love the way you're wearing your hair; it's so flattering to your face. I swear you look better and better every time I see you post. Hope you get some relief from work and commute so you can achieve just the right balance!

Beautiful!
I too came late to the culotte trend and now love them for the unexpected vibe they give.
Great to see a new (past) face on the forum

And 'tucked' is my preference.

Oh yes, they do look great. The pointy toe shoes look nice with it. And I do love your longer hair. And how clever to take photos in the lift! Soooo good to see you again. Xx
