I often say how inspired I am by you all, your outfits, your comments, suggestions, way of thinking. The perfect example came in the comment Day Vies wrote on my previous WIW thread, when she commented chambray shirt and white skirt combo as:

  • "The faded organic feel of the chambray is SO fabulous with the crisp white of the skirt. It's the reverse of a classic faded jeans and white tee combo."

What an a-ha moment!

You may remember that a few months ago I asked how to style the old oversized chambray shirt. Following your suggestions, I had several experiments and chambray shirt - which I altered to fit me closer to the body - proved itself to be a staple.

What you don't know is that I actually had two of the same shirts I kept the second one in the holding zone, still thinking I can somehow use it precisely for being so big.

So, when Day Vies wrote those magical words the reverse of a classic and with it being a season of white bottoms, I simply had to try the relaxed faded denim colour on top and crisp white jeans at bottom.

Worn to kiddies birthday party. Accessorised with the bracelet that echoes the shape of the buckle on the sandals and cobalt nail polish.

What do you think?
