I've been on the lookout for the past two summers for a light weight chambray shirt dress to no avail. I've tried on dozens but there were always issues with fit or style. So imagine my surprise and delight when my perfect chambray shirt dress was spotted at the thrift store last night!

Today's outfit is all about chambray simplicity and started with the dress. I love the weight of the fabric - nice and light but not sheer in any way. I adore the tone of blue - a nice denim shade. I like the roll tab sleeves since the sleeves full length are ridiculously long on me and this allows me to wear the dress without alterations. Plus I like how the slightly bulky roll gives the dress weight - to ensure it doesn't look too "floaty" if that makes sense. The length is perfect - most I tried on were either way too long or way too short. I literally brought it home, washed it, tossed it in the dryer and voila!

I chose my nude peep toe sandal booties for a clean and long leg line and then echoed those nude/neutral tones in the my snakeskin handbag. Jewelry is a silver ring and a fiberglass cuff made by a local artisan. Red specs and red lip finish off the outfit.

So what do you think? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.
