WIW: Can't wait for Fall...

Temps yesterday were warm, but my head is ready for Fall... I am in air conditioning , so why not just fake Fall... It was warm taking photos...

This is a new Cable & Gauge sweater I picked up at Burlington over the summer and while this length works fine... I don't necessarily want it tunic length. It's too long to faux tuck , thinking I may have it shortened...Going to try styling it a few more times before deciding...Any thoughts from my Fabber friends on this idea?

Pants are a new pair of Pixie's from Old Navy.. I've bought Old Navy for my sons, but it's not been a place DD or I have shopped much before this... So far I've ordered 3 pairs of pants and am liking them a lot...

I like this length of top with these pants. I still like Angie's advice of tops long enough to come to at least near crotch point.
The top looks sporty. I think I'd like it better without the necklace. The pop of teal is great next to your face.

Thanks joy. It's not that I dislike the length altogether, it's just that I have a lot of shirts this length and would like more versatility.

I love the length of the sweater as-is, but I can understand wanting a bit more variety and versatility in the wardrobe.

I'm a bit jealous of your pixie pants - those things are insanely comfortable and really flattering. Tried some on in store and went to order them online in my petite size, only to find that there are no pixie pants in my size available. Boo on that.

Anyway, you look lovely!

So sorry to hear that they didn't carry the pixie pants in your size. Yes, they are comfortable. Perhaps buying regulars and having them shortened could be an option?

Cute! I like it...especially love those green shoes! They really make the outfit. I'm learning here just how important they are. And I'm right there with you in the fake-fall-weather-b/c-it's-still-triple-digits camp. Ugh. I can only do either long sleeves or long pants, not both yet, but I am making a big pot of chili for dinner and pretending!

shemarie, triple digits, yikes! Yes shoes can really make an outfit which is how I justify all that I own... Chili sounds like a fun way to embrace Fall despite the temps.

Love the colors in your outfit and I agree that the length of this top is good--so it just sounds as if you'll need to add others in the lengths you want. I think reducing the length of the stripey area will change the aesthetic on this one...

Also intrigued that you got the Pixies--I too just bought a pair in dark red. I have a feeling they are going to be pretty popular... But as is my usual MO, though, I got the "ankle" version that are full length on petite me. So @sparlingo, if you want them all the way down, try that?
