Doesn't that sound like a band name?

Today is the debut of my TR Cameron slim BF jeans - yay for Denim Day at work

I wanted to pair the jeans with something slightly unexpected for their first outing so popped on my vintage red and white polka dot silk jacket. This is one of my favourite pieces in my wardrobe and I hope to have it for many more years to come.

I think this jacket also helps to dress up the jeans a little and downplay the more rugged feel of the jeans (which have a bit of distressing) to make them more work appropriate, even though it is a casual day.

To pull out the white polka dots of the jacket, I'm wearing my bone laser cut oxfords. These are also very comfortable shoes which is great because I'm taking the bus to and from work today as my car is in the shop getting some routine maintenance and love.

I'm wearing my white belt to keep up my pants and I like how it peeks out a bit underneath the jacket.

My cream satchel finishes off the outfit, a swipe of red lipstick and we're off...

Does the vintage jacket work with the jeans and create an interesting juxtaposition with the jeans? Are the proportions ok? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

P.S. We had one heckuva rain storm last night which broke the heat - this is why I can even contemplate wearing jeans today!
