Thanks everyone for your kind comments. I'm sorry that our different time zones don't allow me to be more interactive at the time when you actually post your comments, but I'm usually asleep when most of you just start your day.
Thank you also for your kind words about my son and his creation, as much as the sea of Legos drive me nuts sometimes, I myself admire his clear ideas and focus on which exact parts he needs when he's building something. He takes no second bests, just what he wants. Only when I convince him even I can't find the exact brick in the exact color he wants, he agrees to use the one in different color - but only until we come across the one he originally had in mind. Something to be learnt there (?) Big wave to all the other big and little enthusiast out there.
To say I'm pleased with your comments about the hair is quite an understatement, so I'll just take your comments as an encouragement to use this as fast fall-back hairstyle FFHS
@Sveta, Suz, I have paid attention the fashion and style around me, of course, it's natural curiosity if anything, but I probably still have too small sample to draw any conclusions form. I hang around parks and playgrounds the most, walk a lot and am not in the office environment.
Apart from the jeans + tees, I see a lot of tunic + cropped bottoms. Since this place must be a cycling capital of Europe (sorry Amsterdam) and there's a huge student population due to a well known university, I have a whole new niche to pay attention to and watch how women in particular dress for cycling. Practicality while expressing individuality, it really is fun to notice little details. I am about to get a bike for myself after we return from the holiday, so stylish cycling wardrobe is particularly interesting.
Scarves are a major accessory.
One thing I am very pleased to see are a lot of elderly ladies and the care they put in their appearance is particularly inspiring.
@Alecia, thank you chiming in and I completely understand what you're saying. I am happy you felt you could be this open as you've actually touched on the point I want to work on a lot more and I'm glad it is noticeable. As someone who's spent most of my life shopping for and dressing in what was available in my length, to start with, there is still so much re-wiring to be done in the way I approach the process and feedback like yours is extra-precious.
