After yesterday's dare to wear white denim, the weather changed. As usual, I thought about what I might wear today while showering. Hmm... maybe a skirt with tights and I'll figure out the other pieces when I get to the closet. I was completely at a loss when it came to shoes. Mary janes didn't look quite right. Ballet flats didn't look quite right. I even tried penny loafers. Eh. Then, Angie's blog post about boots and the poor little boots that haven't been worn in public yet started screaming at me. So I chose them.
This is the "I am going to be late dropping off DS at school today, but I'm taking a photo anyway and don't have time to close the closet door fully or care about the background" look.
It's really quite an awful photo and you can't see the details of anything... So, here is what you're supposed to be seeing:
Black, slightly A-line, wool skirt, on the shorter side, with black tights and shiny black boots.
Shimmery green BR top underneath thrifted silk short-sleeve Asian-looking jacket
Long necklace with tones of amber, green, and silver
Necklace over clothing is a new try for me (thank you Taylor, for the inspiration).
I am having WAY too much fun in my closet!
